AddressRole Summary
The Senior Engineer role will act as a team leader, who will be responsible to raise the technical competences within the team and the delivery of discipline projects across WSP in India Middle East (ME) based in India (Noida and Bengaluru). The role holder must take a ‘hands on’ approach to all aspects of the role.
Responsibilities
- Undertake technical reviews, peer reviews, checks and contribute to the design
- Provide continuous feedback to the Local Head of CRC on the effectiveness of the protocols and processes in place with a view to continuous improvement
- Develop positive professional relationship with the WSP ME Team, communicating openly about project progress
- Participate in Project meetings, team meetings, disseminate information within the team, and communicate with other teams in WSP Identify and act on, or refer, potential risk issues and follow in full the company commercial and contracting processes
- Manage delegated tasks to ensure that deadlines are met and flag resourcing concerns to team leader
- Complete timesheet accurately ahead of weekly deadlines
- The applicant will have proven experience in the design of Building Services with significant experience in a similar role or demonstration of a good track record.
- The applicants should possess a degree in Mechanical / Environmental / Civil Engineering and possess membership to an accredited engineering body i.e. IMechE, CIBSE, SoPHE, ASPE, or equivalant.
- Must be technically good in Public Health system design and detailing.
- The applicant should have design experience of ME Projects.
- Excellent working knowledge of CIBSE, IOP, NFPA, IPC, Kahramaa, Saudi Codes and other local codes and good working knowledge of UK codes would be advantageous.
- This includes undertaking feasibility studies and developing concepts through to detailed design, specification and tender to the required standards. Development of energy strategies incorporating renewable technologies and low energy designs to satisfy local authority planning requirements and compliance with UK Building Regulations.
- Must be fully conversant with technical software, such as Hevacomp, Gutterflow, H2X or equivalant
- A sound understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel is essential
- Must be fluent in English with an excellent understanding of technical terminology.
- Applicants need to be able to demonstrate good management and technical skills and be capable of working both within the team and independently, as dictated by work load -

Qualifications
- BEng or equivalent discipline with minimum 10 years’ experience
- Member of associated Professional body is optional.
- C. Eng. preferred although not essential
- Experience and proven ability to manage projects and team.
- Experience of MS Office Suite of Programmes
- Comprehensive experience of technical design and associated discipline software
- Middle East experience for exposure to ME prospects is essential, approx. 20 % of total experience
