Job Description

About the Opportunity


The Senior Accountant provides accurate and timely support for the accounting department’s day-to-day operations. Reporting to the Accounting Manager (GL), the associate accountant supports all aspects of the full accounting cycle for CJ US, CJ UK and its subsidiary entities.


Duties and Responsibilities


  • Assist with journal entry preparation, including uploading into SAP
  • Prepare financial reports and review for accuracy
  • Help with account reconciliation and analysis
  • Assist with cash reconciliations between different systems
  • Provide support for Balance Sheet accounts’ clearing of documents
  • Assist with billing, including the creation of job codes, clients and invoices in SAP
  • Monitoring of AR aging for different entities
  • Follow up on payments with intercompany partners as well as outside clients
  • Completion of designated internal control tasks and reporting in Blackline
  • Assist with special projects as needed, including support for auditors’ requests
  • Maintain good rapport with staff, clients, vendors, external auditors and regulators
  • Check and assess all accounting records for accuracy
  • Adhere to best practices, standards and procedures in all accounting functions and activities

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or similar majors
  • 4+ years bookkeeping and/or administrative experience
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and succeed in a fast-paced environment
  • Desire to grow and assume more responsibility
  • Must be comfortable interfacing with employees outside of the office at other locations, via phone, email and web meetings to gain understanding and obtain information to complete monthly tasks
  • Able to display initiative & take ownership of problems
  • Must be a strong team player, flexible, and willing to work overtime when required
