Job description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated radiographer to join our medical imaging team. The radiographer will be responsible for operating radiographic equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients for medical interpretation. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, and ultrasound examinations.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Position patients correctly to obtain the best possible images and minimize radiation exposure.
  • Operate and maintain radiographic equipment in accordance with safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.
  • Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure proper identification and labeling.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret images and provide accurate diagnostic information.
  • Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in radiographic technology and techniques through continuing education and professional development.
  • Adhere to departmental policies and procedures to ensure efficient workflow and patient satisfaction.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating patient information, and ordering supplies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in radiography or a related field.
  • Valid certification in radiography from an accredited program.
  • State licensure or certification as required by regulatory authorities.
  • Proven experience working as a radiographer in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of radiographic techniques, equipment operation, and radiation safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and patient care.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • CPR certification may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced certification in a specialized area of radiography such as MRI or CT scanning.
  • Experience with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Proficiency in additional languages may be beneficial in serving diverse patient populations.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to mentor and train junior staff members.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From ₹8,000.00 per month
