As a Quality Inspector in our dairy facility, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality and safety. You will be responsible for inspecting raw materials, monitoring production processes, and conducting tests to ensure compliance with quality control standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Incoming Material Inspection:
Inspect incoming raw materials, including milk, additives, and packaging materials, to ensure they meet quality specifications.
Conduct visual inspections and perform tests as required to identify any deviations from quality standards.
Production Process Monitoring:
Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control measures.
Conduct regular checks on equipment calibration, temperature control, and sanitation practices to maintain product integrity.
Quality Testing:
Perform quality tests on finished dairy products, including but not limited to pH measurement, viscosity testing, microbial analysis, and sensory evaluation.
Record test results accurately and promptly report any deviations from quality standards to the production team.
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of quality inspection results, including test reports, inspection logs, and corrective action records.
Ensure compliance with documentation requirements for regulatory agencies and quality certifications.
Non-Conformance Management:
Investigate and document any quality issues or non-conformities identified during inspections or testing.
Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to implement corrective and preventive actions to address root causes and prevent recurrence.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and quality enhancements through data analysis and trend monitoring.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute ideas for enhancing product quality and efficiency.
Compliance and Training:
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies and procedures.
Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality control principles, procedures, and best practices.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in food science, microbiology, chemistry, or a related field. Relevant certifications may be advantageous.
Previous experience in quality control or quality assurance, preferably in the dairy industry.
Strong knowledge of quality control principles, food safety regulations, and industry standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP, ISO).
Experience with quality testing methods and equipment used in dairy production (e.g., pH meters, titrators, microbial testing kits).
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze test results.
Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate findings and recommendations clearly and professionally.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Proficient in computer applications such as MS Office and quality management software.
