Quality Control Officer

As a Quality Control Officer in our beauty and wellness company, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficacy. Your role will involve implementing Quality Control measures, conducting inspections and tests, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain product integrity throughout the manufacturing process. Your attention to detail, knowledge of regulatory requirements, and commitment to excellence will contribute to the success of our company.

Responsibilities:
1. Quality Control Processes:
- Develop and implement comprehensive Quality Control processes and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
- Establish and maintain Quality Control documentation, including SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), inspection checklists, and testing protocols.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance. with Quality Control procedures and identify areas for improvement.
2. Inspection and Testing:
- Perform inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet quality specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct visual inspections, sensory evaluations, and physical tests to verify product quality, consistency, and packaging integrity.
- Utilize appropriate testing equipment and tools to perform laboratory tests, including pH testing, viscosity measurements, microbial analysis, and stability testing.
3. Non-Conformance Management:
- Identify and document non-conforming products, processes, or materials, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address any issues.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to product quality, working closely with relevant departments to ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with the production team to identify root causes of quality deviations and implement process improvements to prevent recurrence.
4. Compliance and Documentation:
- Stay up-to-date with relevant regulatory guidelines, such as FDA, EU regulations, and industry standards, to ensure compliance in all Quality Control activities.
- Prepare and maintain accurate and detailed Quality Control records, including test results, inspection reports, and batch release documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory submissions and support regulatory audits or inspections related to Quality Control activities.
5. Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor Quality Control trends and metrics to identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain, to implement Quality Control enhancements and optimize product quality and performance.
- Participate in the evaluation and qualification of new suppliers and raw materials to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
- Proven experience in Quality Control of 3-4 years within the beauty and wellness industry or a similar regulated industry.
- Strong knowledge of Quality Control principles, processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with laboratory testing equipment and techniques used in Quality Control, such as HPLC, GC, spectrophotometry, and microbiological testing.
- Attention to detail and the ability to accurately interpret and analyze test results.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on objective data.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and other relevant quality management systems.
