To meet the increasing demand of our expertise in engineering, we have now an opportunity for a Project Manager - Construction with experience ranging from 15 – 20 years to join the Nuclear and Power team at our AtkinsRéalis India offices. We are particularly interested in individuals with reasonable consultancy experience in Manufacturing / Plant / Construction of plants with site experience and implementation of engineering changes/system upgrades in green and brown field projects. The person should be experienced in directing the Plant construction and commissioning.

Responsibilities:

The work is varied and may include some or all of the responsibilities mentioned below:

• Timely and Regular reporting to Head office.
• Ensure proper implementation of Safety at Site.
• Be a focal point to design office and lead/drive the project from construction site towards successful completion.
• Study of documents to have better understanding and preparation before leaving to site.
• Supervising various site activities.
• Conducting regular site meetings to track the project progress and take decisions in a timely manner such that project completes on time.
• Ensure materials are available for continuity of site activities.
• Monitoring site activities and reporting Site progress in a standard template.
• Conducting quality and safety inspections.
• Checking of various information received from Head office for its correctness and sharing with the different discipline teams.
• Ensure completeness of control reports.
• Day to day problem solving and dealing with any issues that arise.
• Creating record for defending Claim from customer/ or supplier and to generate claim to other parties if there is any such opportunity.
• Proper coordination and follow up with HO team related to any design issues/ site issues / discrepancies at site.
• Site walk through and punch point closure until plant handover.
• Site closure meeting all contractual obligation.
• Must be able to prepare various reports in Ms office.
• Should be able to manage competing priorities and should be able to resolve all on-site issues, which require complex decision-making as and when required.
• Ability to understand and define client’s requirements, plan & schedule deliverables, timelines.
• Strong delivery culture, ability to multi-task, resource management, delegate tasks, develop and deliver cost/time-effective solutions.
• Flexible to relocate to AtkinsRéalis India Office Locations (Bangalore/Gurgaon/Mumbai) flexible in travelling to AtkinsRéalis’ and client’s office locations around the world, if required.

Requirements:

• Should have worked at least 15-20 years in the position of Plant Site Manager and have Graduation in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering.
• Shall be from Thermal Power Industry and having experience in Cogen Plant/ OCGT/CCGT Plants.
• Experience in supervising various site activities.
• Experience in conducting regular site meetings to track the project progress and take decisions in a timely manner such that project completes on time.
• Experience in monitoring site activities and reporting Site progress in a standard template.
• Experience in conducting quality and safety inspections.
• Creating record for defending Claim from customer/ or supplier and to generate claim to other parties if there is any such opportunity.
• Experience in site walk through and punch point closure until plant handover and Site closure meeting all contractual obligation.
• Knowledge of Auto Cad, Navisworks softwares.
• Exposure to Ms office and Reports authoring experience.
• Strong Analytical and Presentation Skill.
• Prior experience in Design coordination with handling medium to large-scale projects.
• Experience risk identification and mitigation to resolve all on-site issues, which require complex decision-making as and when required.
• Experience or exposure to project management principles desirable.
• Ability to understand and define client’s requirements, plan & schedule deliverables, timelines.
• Strong delivery culture, ability to multi-task, resource management, delegate tasks, develop and deliver cost/time-effective solutions.
• Flexible to relocate to AtkinsRéalis India Office Locations (Bangalore/Gurgaon/Mumbai) flexible in travelling to AtkinsRéalis’ and client’s office locations around the world, if required.
