Production Planning Manager

Job Purpose:
The Production Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the Production Planning and scheduling process to ensure that the solar cell manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Productions Planning
Develop and maintain production plans based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels.Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to gather information and align production schedules with demand.Create production schedules that balance machine and labor capacity with production requirements.
Inventory PlanningMonitor inventory levels and order raw materials or components as needed to support production schedules.Implement inventory control strategies to minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
Resource OptimizationOptimize machine, labour, and equipment utilization to ensure efficient production and cost-effectiveness with Production, Process and Maintenance LeadsCoordinate with supply chain management team for continuous production raw-material availability
Quality AssuranceEnsure that production plans consider quality standards and requirements.Collaborate with quality control teams to address any issues affecting product quality and production schedules
Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the Production Planning and scheduling process.Implement Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to enhance production efficiency.
Communication and CollaborationFoster collaboration and communication between various departments, including production, procurement, and logistics.Communicate production schedules and changes to relevant stakeholders.
Data Analysis and Reporting:Collect and analyze production data to evaluate the effectiveness of production plans.Generate reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and make data-driven decisions.
Compliance and Regulations:Ensure that Production Planning adheres to all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
Profile & Eligible CriteriaEducation Qualification : Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations management, or a related field (Master’s Degree may be preferred).Required Experience : 12+ yearsDesired Industry : Solar Photovoltaic / Manufacturing / Automation IndustryProven experience in Production Planning, scheduling, or related roles.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in using Production Planning software, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like SAP/Oracle is must.Proficiency on management reporting tool SAP Lumira/Fiori/BIExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Leadership and team management capabilities.Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles is a plus.Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards
