Process Engineer

The industrial Function Pilot is responsible for obtaining the QCDRH performance of the industrial system(s) implemented as part of the project. He is appointed a the Freezing of Concept step or at the lastest at the Pre-Contract and his activity ends approximately 3 months after the Manufacturing Agreement, or at the latest at the Statement of Obtaining Performances. The continuation of the serial project missions is taken over by Local Engineering.

As Industrial Function Leader, he is responsible for :

- The definition of the industrial system on its technical scope, allowing the plants to carry out the manufacturing activities in compliance with the QCD HR objectives of the project. His target are contractualized between the Production Engineering Shop Leader (CPM) or IST Process (Technical Synthesis Process Engineer) (by delegation of the Business Director), the Project Director / Chief Engineer and the plant.

- The supply of the process, the industrial means and the efficient operating modes in QCD HR and all the associated documentation.

- The good launching of the industrial system and the integration of new vehicles, mechanical components or parts

- The Animation of members of the Industrial Function Group through reporting meetings (COPIL, RAP, etc.)

As a representative of his business department in the Industrial Function Group, he is responsible for the Corporate Business Department Manager, of:

- The implementation in the IFG of the business policies and the compliance with processes, benchmarks and standards of his business (SESAM + JPOM / JPOC at the PE PWT, APES-RPES + JQPV at the PE VEH),

- The application of the APW principles and objectives

- Taking into account the Alliance common interests

Detailed missions :

Management of the Industrial Group Function

• Organizes and leads the operation of the Industrial Function Group: schedule of meetings, productions of the GFI, delegations, project risk management (GRP), problem solving (monitoring of LUPs), etc.

D evelopment operations, Industrialization and validation

• Based on the Process development Team Leaders, he :
• Ensures that the necessary actions with the product designers (PFE, surveyors, architects, etc.) are carried out to integrate the genes of good industrial performance into the design of the product, in line with the commitments of the Contract (Design Standard Time Ratio, means carry-over rate, etc.)
• Manages the choice of geometric references and Product / Process interfaces
• Ensures the drafting of the specifications of the means
• Pilot the study and the realization of the industrial equipments by the suppliers via the Industrial Means Business Managers of the development Team Leader
• Is responsible for the definition of the manufacturing processes, their breakdowns and their sequences (assembly or assembly order) to maximize operating efficiency, in compliance with labor regulations
• Organizes and manages physical reassembly process reviews PMDR (Physical Make up Design Review)
• Participates in DMDR digital process reviews (Digital Make up D Review type) and pronounces the process opinion
• Organizes the reception of the equipments at the supplier and authorizes the delivery of the means to the factory. He coordinates the installation sites of the means in compliance with the rules of Safety and Working Conditions
• Organizes the phases of debugging and/or the manufacture of S Batches / Pre-series, the development and the Production Tests with the Industrial Means Project Managers
• Built with the Heads of Process Development Team Leader the problem solving plans and ensured the removal of reservations and blocking points
• Is responsible for demonstrating the compliance capability of its Process
• Ensures the supply of all the technical documentation relating to its Process, including the Modes of Operation and Exploitation written by the Industrial System Designer of the Industrial Function Group.
• Is responsible for providing the elements necessary for the implementation of monitoring plans for its Means
• Contractualizes with Manufacturing and local engineering, at the various milestones of the project, the Operator receipts and the Statement of Achievement of the Performances fixed in the Business Contract (Tcy, Operating Yield, Montability Agreements, etc.)
• Organizes and formalizes the handover with the local Engineering of the site concerned for the evolutions of the process in series life

Manages Investments, Costs and Planning :

• He participates in the drafting of the chapters of the Pre-Contract and the Contract
• He builds the Business Contract and the Start-up Protocol(s) corresponding to his scope
• He participates in the drafting of Investment Project Contracts within his scope,
• He prepares the reporting for the QCDP (investments, associated costs, Manufacturing Cost Price, etc.)
• He ensures the consistency of the planning of his industrial system and supplier schedules with respect to the master schedule of the project
• He manages the investments of his scope and participates in the choice of suppliers in relation with the Purchasing Managers
• He establishes the list and the number of parts necessary for the development and ensures their delivery date at the right schedule and follows the associated budget
• He ensures that the industrial equipments are ordered by the Industrial Means Business Managers of the development Team Leaders, in the planned schedule
• He is responsible for the technical validation of the Settlement Situation Sheets (FSR)
• He ensures the costing and updating throughout the Project, of the manufacturing time (Design Standard Time) allowing the factory to size its workforce.
• He is responsible for the quality of the organs delivered at the various milestones.

Animates the consideration of the process by the factory by involving the different trades of the industrial site (maintenance, manufacturing, logistics, safety, etc.) throughout the project. The Industrial Function Leader ensures that they :

• Participate in the choice of the process (technical, economic and ergonomic choices), in the study and reception of the industrial equipments
• Participate and validate the studies of installation of the installations and the parts
• Build the Preventive Maintenance Plan for resources and manage the TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) approach
• Produce the deliverables from the APW, in particular the drafting of the Standard Operation Sheets (FOS)
• Set up and organize the training of the resources necessary for operation (operators, installation drivers, maintenance, etc.) and the gradual takeover of the installations for a handover no later than the Manufacturing Agreement

Capitalization and standardization

• Throughout the project, the Industrial Function Pilot guarantees the application of the processes, references and standards of his profession.
• The Industrial Function Pilot participates in the enrichment of the know-how of his profession by ensuring the feedback of experience feedback to his business manager and by providing his analysis on the root causes of the feedback, in particular at the TGA and at the end of the project.
• He participates in the capitalization meetings led by his business line.

Animation of the project:

• In terms of resources, the Industrial Function Pilot relies on an Industrial Function Group composed of a hard core comprising:
• Process Designers / Preparers
• Industrial Facilities Contract Engineer (CAMI)
• Industrial System Designers (CSI)
• And depending on the trades, the Geometry Analysts and the Geometry Synthesis Pilot
