Job Purpose

The Principal Engineer – Broadcast and Video, will overall have ownership of the Broadcast Technology, policies, lifecycle and security configurations required to deliver Broadcast and Video service to all users in accordance with GSK policies. The Principal Engineer, Broadcast & Video role will own and deliver design, build, deployment, and support model for Broadcast and Video.

The Principal Engineer, Broadcast & Video analyses and resolves complex technical issues and provides technical guidance and direction to various technical teams on day to day activities. The Principal Engineer, Broadcast and Video role will provide senior level engineering expertise to deliver security configurations for the group and lead the design, build, and deployment of technology and strategy. The Principal Engineer will also provide guidance to Operations Team to enhance the user experience using latest technologies / tools / Data.

The candidate in this engineering role will be considered a subject matter expert listed in the technology and will be expected to provide guidance and recommendations to improve the environment and to deliver strategic solutions that modernize technologies for GSK. This is a global role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design, build, deployment, and support models of GSK’s technology and applications

  
  

• Lead strategic partners and support teams in the delivery of technologies.

  
  

• Responsible for the technical quality of GSK’s technology & applications

  
  

• Continuously improves the Broadcast & Video technology offering and end user experience.

  
  

• Ownership – Technical Architecture, Proof of Concepts, Integration Architecture, Product Design and Build, Production Readiness, Deployment Model Definition, Support Model

  
  

• Broadcast & Video Monitoring Tools Enhancements and Automation, Dashboard Preparation

  
  

• Responsible for L3 Support for Operations Support

  
  

• Knowledge of Content Delivery Networks, Ability to achieve integration with other technologies like Meeting Rooms

  
  

What make you qualify for this role

• Bachelors’s/Masters degree with 12+ years of IT experience

  
  

• 8+ years Experience in Broadcast, Voice, Video, Collaboration Platforms Engineering and Operations

  
  

• Exposure to AI Tools, Monitoring, Data Management & Analytics, Design, and implementation.

  
  

• Demonstrated Technology experience on –

  
  

  •  Microsoft Teams Live Events, Microsoft Teams Voice, Microsoft Teams Rooms

    
    

  •  Other Broadcast Platforms like Zoom Events, Qumu, Cisco Webex

    
    

  •  Architectural knowledge tied to services.
