Position: Manager - Video Operations, Digital Business

Purpose: Responsible for providing operational excellence for the video streaming and media delivery workflows for SPNI

Education: B.E./B.Tech, BCA or Equivalent Computer Degree

Experience: Over 8+ Years of Experience in end-to-end Video Operations for content delivery. Experience with OTT platforms preferred.

Location: Gurugram/Mumbai

Reporting Relationship: Associate Vice President - Video Operations, Digital Business

Business/Channel/Function: Digital

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing event planning and delivery of key metrics to meet all objectives of product and business.
• Steering operational initiatives and programs to continually deliver outstanding outcomes for SPNI
• Collaborating professionally with leadership & cross-functional teams to communicate and update on operational challenges, issues and progress & how the team has been successfully navigating them.

Focus Areas:

• Providing Operational Excellence
  • Manage and optimize the media workflows comprising of on-prem & cloud setups.
  • Manage overall operations of transcoding, content delivery, live streaming & on-demand streaming, content security and monitoring operations.
  • Ad workflow personalization using SSAI & CSAI to deliver the AD strategy.
  • Experience working & handling vendor/partners to get the job done.

• • Work with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure accountability and successful outcomes from engagements.
• Video Streaming Excellence
  • Drive end-to-end streaming metrics and Video Operations activities including d2d change management across various systems.
  • Maintaining core video streaming KPIs across platforms and collaborating with engineering and product teams to identify and fix issues.

• Technical

• Demonstrate consistently flawless planning and execution of Video Operations.
• Have experience in OTT workflows, especially on Content Delivery Network, Content Management Systems, VOD & Live streaming, Server side and client-side ads, DRM.
• Show evidence of operations and team organization skills and ensuring best practices in cross-functional teams
• Display outstanding interpersonal skills with a focus on collaboration, influencing, change management ownership and managing ambiguity.
• Sound understanding of CDN, DRM, VoD and Live Streaming (HLS, DASH), Ad Ecosystem
• Should be able to plan key events with various stakeholders and vendors.
• Be able to troubleshoot issues related to HLS / DASH /MSS, various app player frameworks, CDN, DNS, DRM, CMS and other related systems.
• AWS/ Cloud platform certification & Python knowledge would be an added advantage.
