About the Department
The Trial Data Management department was established in Bangalore, India in the month of September 2007 and has significantly grown. It is a young, enthusiastic, and dynamic team with varied skillsets and professionals from diverse backgrounds such as pharmacy, life-sciences, physiotherapy, computer/information sciences and business administration. The key objective of the department is to ensure high quality data delivery to the stakeholders. The involvement of various groups in Data Management is significant in key stages of trial setup, conduct and closeout.
The Position
As Manager your role within Novo Nordisk encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities aimed effectively include all global Data Management activities, anticipate new challenges, and needs for the department and develop the processes in the organization accordingly, as well as ensure continuous improvement. Manage the department according to the Novo Nordisk Way including developing the employees and the team to meet Novo Nordisk’s business needs. Contribute to the global resource allocation, ensuring that trials are supplied with Clinical Trial Data Managers in a timely manner. Ensure a continuous improvement mind-set by participating in quality activities, feedback sessions and lessons learned.
As a Manager at Novo Nordisk, you will be additionally responsible for :
- Responsible for all global Data Management activities across allocated project areas. Ensure that all employees in the team are provided the needed support and possess the necessary competencies.
- Ensuring budget input and adequate financial follow up as defined with Head of Trial Data Management -Bangalore, update of budget at rolling estimates and at year end.
- Ensure a continuous improvement mind-set by participating in quality activities, feedback sessions and lessons learned. Facilitate continuously improving the teams ‘way of working’ in close collaboration with the other departments in Data Science.
- The Manager acts independently and is responsible for mentoring, coaching, and developing the employees in the team.
- Communication with various stakeholders is a very important element of this job, as is the ability to work in a global environment. Excellent negotiation, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Life Sciences.
- Working experience of 10 plus years in the Clinical Data Management domain.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in people management, either from project or line management.
- Knowledge of drug development and basic medical terminology.
- Advanced knowledge of computer systems and IT.
- Knowledge of data structures in CTMS, EDC, CDMS, and data warehouse systems.
- Experience with the development of clinical standards and knowledge of external standards.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Profound knowledge of GxP and guidelines within drug development. Experience working under quality requirements such as GCP and ISO.
