Job Title
Manager - National Service Repair Center
Role Overview:
The candidate will be responsible to manage our OTIS Electronics Repair Centre (OERC) and handle repairs, reports and internal customer service interactions. The manager's responsibilities include the overlooking of Repaired part distribution process (Spare Lending) to PAN India Regional Stores through our National Service Centre (NSC). The manager is responsible for the quality control of OERC as well as external repair suppliers, for minimum repair turnaround time and managing the service team members. The service manager maintains a strong working knowledge of all industry standards and practices as well as the company's products and services.
On a typical day you will:
  • Handling Electronics Repair Activity structure/ Spare Lending process for Otis India.
  • In charge of Inhouse repair centre i.e. OERC and will be responsible for Productivity & Quality control.
  • Vendor evaluation, Productivity & Quality Control for the item being repaired outside OERC trough external repair vendor.
  • Day to day activity to track the defective incoming material, outgoing repaired material and planning as per regional store requirement to ensure minimum repair turnaround time.
  • Planning of Components required for Inhouse Repair & tracking of its consumption.
  • Inventory management & Annual Cycle count.
  • Tracking, resolution & RRCA on Repair found defective cases of OERC as well as Vendors. Site visits if required.
  • Weekly reports/MIS on RFD, pending DSL & Repairs.
  • Provide direction to other Repair Engineers & problem-solving assistance. Also oversees the daily operations of other Repair Engineers.
  • Analysis of annual service Consumption for failure & feasibility of repair to reduce annual service Consumption cost.
  • Responsible for Development of Simulators, test procedures, necessary tools, field testing for the identified item.
  • Root cause analysis of repetitive failures & implementation of precautionary measures to increase its service life.
  • Good analytical & presentation skills
  • Good at Cross functional activity with purchase, Strategic sourcing, accounts, Regional Stores & field.
  • All Data maintenance & data analysis as per the requirement
  • System developments & coordination with IT Section (External) – JDE / Bar Coding
  • Good Computer knowledge in MS Office & ERP Software
Key Skills:
  • Troubleshooting & Analytical Skills: He should be able to solve technical issues through problem solving methods and find clear solution.
  • Identification of Electronics components & can be able to understand circuit diagrams.
  • Required to do data analysis for timely procurement & RRCA
  • Should have very good interpersonal skills to handle the team

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Preferred: BE (Electronics)

EXPERIENCE
  • 10 to 12 years of experience in elevator / electronics industries
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Should have knowledge about elevator spare parts
  • Should have knowledge on Supply Chain Management / Warehousing
  • Should be a good team player
  • Working knowledge of current software packages such as MS Office and ERP Software is very essential
SAP / JD Edwards system / Auto-CAD will be an added advantage.
