The Role:
- Understands the drug development process
- Applies knowledge of ICON’s policies and procedures
- Excellent communication, presentation, leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to set expectations and monitor employee performance
- Ability to identify and hire strong candidates through recruitment process
- Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast paced and complex environment
- Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors
- Makes effective decisions based on analysis of facts and data, retaining ownership
- Drives plans to resolve issues escalated from team members
- Uses data to present ideas, concerns and solutions
- Breaks problems into component parts and addresses issues until resolution
- Decisions have an impact on work processes and outcomes
- Erroneous decisions, recommendations or failure to complete assignments normally result in serious delays and considerable expenditure of additional time, human resources, and funds
- Potential risk of staff turnover and associated costs of hiring and training replacement staff
- Supervises staff
- Receives general supervision with ongoing review in line with corporate and departmental objectives and expectations
- Less than 10% travel and no significant lifting
