Role Summary/Purpose:
Manager, Analytics - Lifestyle (individual contributor) role is a part of India Analytics Hub (IAH). The role will include clear understanding of business requirement , ask right questions , build & review prototype , work with data to generate actionable insights to address project delivery enabling Synchrony’s growth and profitability. The model candidate must be skilled in data & analytics , has ‘Go Getter Attitude’ , Goal Oriented and should be able to deliver independently
Key Responsibilities:
• Hands-on deliver on assigned analytic project/process, independently by building or leveraging data and analytical tools
• Extract and analyze data, derive insights and share recommendations in line with project objective
• Partner on strategic ideas and POCs targeting revenue growth & larger business adoption
• Adherence to timely delivery, accuracy and documentation in line with Audit Procedures
• Mentor/ Guide team members on tools and processes
Required Skills/Knowledge:
· 2+ years of hands on Experience in SQL / SAS /Open Source Tools with ability to independently build queries for data extraction & aggregation
Comprehend key concepts & processes in Retail Finance ,translate them into quantitative attributes

· Ability to Define Methodology , present insights to larger teams and influence decision making
Desired Skills/Knowledge:
• 3+ years of analytics/data science experience in Financial Services Industry
• Experience in working with Python and R, preferably in a Linux-based cloud environment such as AWS
• Good working knowledge of statistical tests, distributions, regression, maximum likelihood estimators, etc.
Eligibility Criteria:
Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or any other quantitative streams with 2+ years of hands-on relevant analytics/data science experience. Minimum 4+ years of relevant work experience in lieu of specified degree.
Work Timings:
This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
