Manager HR


Job Purpose:
- Act as the primary point of contact for HR-related matters for employees and managers at the business/plant level.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to understand their needs and concerns.
- Collaborate with HR leadership to implement strategic HR initiatives tailored to the business/plant level.
- Manage and coordinate HR programs, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Proactively monitor employee satisfaction levels and identify areas for improvement.
- Address employee grievances and concerns in a timely and effective manner, fostering a culture of trust and open communication.
- Oversee all HR operations at the business/plant level, including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
- Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment and enhance employee morale.
- Organize team-building activities, recognition programs, and other events to promote a sense of belonging and teamwork.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Master's degree in HR from a good college (preferred)
- Proven experience (10 years) in a similar HRBP role, preferably in the engineering or Manufacturing Industry.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, and regulations in India.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Strategically determine the HR budget allocation for the plant, including budgeting for Learning & Development and Employee Engagement Activities.
- Engage with all organizational levels to gauge the organizational pulse, collecting objective feedback for strategic input to the Head of Human Resources, facilitating informed HR interventions.
- Research industry best practices, conduct benchmarking, and stay abreast of industry developments to anticipate potential impacts on the company, crafting and executing initiatives accordingly.
- Lead all Learning & Development activities, ensure adherence to Performance Management System (PMS) policies, orchestrate employee engagement initiatives, and devise talent management interventions.
- Manage grievances, administer leave policies, and ensure workplace safety compliance. Motivate team members to engage in various employee engagement activities, prioritize work assignments based on business needs, and resolve interdepartmental issues to ensure smooth departmental operations. Conduct weekly and monthly team performance reviews.
Execution / Implementation:
- Guarantee zero major non-conformities in all HR-related audits by proactively preparing HR department audit data.
- Ensure timely execution of all employee engagement activities, events, Rewards & Recognition (R&R) programs, and training sessions, as well as timely recruitment processes.
- Timely dissemination of all communication regarding the Performance Management System (PMS), identifying effective communication channels. Plan and execute goal setting, midterm, and final appraisal processes.
- Prepare relevant metrics and Management Information System (MIS) reports concerning Learning & Development (L&D) and PMS.
- Identify employee training needs, develop monthly training calendars, and facilitate all training activities at the business level to minimize skill gaps. Implement effective talent management systems to foster in-house talent development and ensure employee growth.
