Location: Gurgaon
GSMS Grade: M4
As Manager Category Manager Sportswear Footwear you will drive the respective category business Net Sales in Emerging Markets
You will be the EM expert for Sportswear Footwear category understanding consumer trends, distribution opportunities and competitor strategies.
To succeed you will collaborate with EM cluster/country organizations and Channel teams to identify and address business opportunities in the market and deliver against those by collaborating with the Global Business Unit throughout the seasonal Go-to-Market process.
You will be the point of contact for Sportswear Footwear in EM not only for pre-season planning but also for in season tracking, monitoring, and actioning.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute the seasonal Go-To-Market process and calendar milestones for your respective category in Emerging Markets.
  • Define an effective Emerging Markets Category Range that allows Clusters to maximize their opportunities.
  • Build a Category "Common Range" as the foundation of your EM Range that ensures a consistent Brand Footprint with a focus on adidas own channels without compromising on any commercial opportunities.
  • Ensure all your BU ranging activities in RMA and M-3 follow the Mops Milestones and timelines.
  • Facilitate efficient communication with respective Cluster and Channel stakeholders, to enable executional excellence as well as driving upwards communication to Global stakeholders.
  • Drive Sportswear Footwear with a specific focus on growing Franchises and leverage Halo Models across channels and work with Channel stakeholders to ensure an elevated consumer experience.
  • Review Seasonal Volumes across the Business segments and action against.
KPIs:
  • EM Net Sales,
  • Executional excellence across seasonal Go-To-Market Milestones to enable stakeholders
Key Relationships:
  • EM Horizontal Brand Teams (Mops, CtC, Brand Activation)
  • EM Business Units (Running, Football, Originals, Outdoor)
  • EM Cluster/Country Category Management/CtC
  • EM Channel, Finance, Demand Planning
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Respectful Team-player
  • Strong analytical skills structured and process oriented.
  • Experience in Category Management, Merchandising, Consumer Experience is a plus.
  • Ability to lead stakeholders x-functionally.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
  • University Degree in Business or Marketing
  • Category Management/ Ranging/ Merchandising- or Account Marketing / Sales Experience
  • Advanced user of Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written)
