Purpose/Mission
This role is overall responsible for planning for and driving the execution of our strategy. Their role requires them to focus on operational delivery and translate strategic direction into Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Senior Manager, EM Sales Academy are required to use their expertise, with a broad and deep conceptual and practical knowledge of their own functional area. They work both independently and collaboratively within their function, cross-functionally and cross-culturally to deliver against shared objectives ensuring market consistency. They develop their leadership skills by identifying opportunities to increase their business impact and apply what they learn in leading a team and supporting more junior colleagues.

Key Functional Responsibilities
  • Manage program implementation as projects ensuring high quality landing and impact.
  • Work along with design and content team for validation and enhancements of go to market plans considering effectiveness of implementation.
  • Build training calendar and scheduling, lead the full scope of program implementation and ensure a smooth communication of all programs with stakeholders, clusters and participants to ensure maximum returns from the program.
  • Review program relevance for sales channels and create a learning journey specifically for Wholesale and Franchise teams.
  • Organize and structurally deliver virtual and in-person Train-the-Trainer sessions to enable trainer community on market level Sales Academy programs.
  • Create milestones and track implementation of market calendars with cluster teams.
  • Manage go to market for all global certification and strategic programs.
  • Facilitate creation of country-based specialists' as example for bras, football, running, styling, green ambassador using the global sales academy programs. Ensure key trade zones coverage for category experts.
  • Ensure excellence and consistency in implementation of all training programs along with country leads.
  • Enable and empower country trainers to build service leadership through adidas service model and standards.
  • Manage and excel in sales academy led events such as service hero's week, week of inclusion, members' week.
  • Manage communication and working rhythm such as sales academy team meetings, weekly trade meetings.
  • Collaborate with global teams for strategic programs like trainer and coaching certifications. Develop a Global Sales Academy Trainer capability in collaboration with Global Sales Academy.
  • Manage and review as per defined rhythm implementation for franchise and wholesale along with Manager Sales Academy for Partners.
  • Create a culture of learning and continuous personal development in stores by supporting country sales academy teams to develop trainer resources.
  • Provide feedback and consultancy on programs execution upstream to global and downstream to clusters.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative methods, as well as established tracking systems/tools to evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Manage and optimize the training budget.
  • Encourage continuous improvement by constantly monitoring and sharing best practices across mentioned markets.
  • Manage and facilitate communication and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders internally and externally.
KPI's:
  • Reach of training interventions as example country wise training hours and number of participants trained.
  • Achievement of defined annual learning calendar.
  • Knowledge transfer scores for learning and development programs
  • Impact on defined Business KPI through the learning and development programs

Professional background:
  • Functional: 8-10 years in sales and/or Retail Training, ideally with retail focus
  • Industry: ideally in apparel/fashion/shoes or FMCG
Educational Background:
  • University degree in business or human resources
  • Facilitation relevant certifications
