As a Lead Software Engineer - Mobile Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at JPMorgan Chase within the International Consumer Bank, you will be a part of a flat-structure organization. Your responsibilities are to deliver end-to-end cutting-edge solutions in the form of cloud-native microservices architecture applications leveraging the latest technologies and the best industry practices. You are expected to be involved in the design and architecture of the solutions while also focusing on the entire SDLC lifecycle stages.

Job responsibilities:
- Developing and executing test strategies and test plans
- Leading cultural change including championing a quality and test mindset across unit, integration, functional, non-functional testing
- Refining user stories to ensure quality is embedded early in the Software Development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Automating mobile app test scenarios, building sufficient and meaningful test coverage
- Integrating and troubleshooting automated tests running in CI/CD pipelines on remote grid of devices
- Supporting execution of functional, integration and regression testing
- Testing non-functional aspects of mobile application e.g. accessibility, performance
- Triaging, analyzing, debugging issues and driving issues resolution with the team
- Developing metrics and trend analysis for testing activities
- Initiating and completing test escape and root cause analysis, recommending test process improvements and defect prevention actions
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Formal training or certification on Software Development Engineer in Test concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Proven experience in all aspects of functional, integration and regression testing
- Experience developing automated testing frameworks and validation tools for mobile applications
- Experience with (incl. setting up and troubleshooting) mobile application build and deployment pipelines
- Clean coding and adherence to the Software Engineering best practices (DRY, SOLID, etc.) with a focus on scalable and maintainable test execution infrastructure
- Mobile app test automation using tools such as Cucumber, Appium, and Detox
- Mobile application and mobile browser testing on physical devices and simulators running on both iOS and Android platforms
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Knowledge and experience working in an Agile environment
- Strong programming skills in Java
- Exposure to web technologies (e.g. HTTP, XML, REST, HTML, JS REACT, etc.)
- Experience with mobile application related non-functional testing e.g. accessibility, client side performance testing
- Programming experience with JavaScript
- Previous experience in application development
