Lead Indian Payroll Administration
Location: Hyderabad
Job opportunity for a detail-oriented and seasoned Payroll Administrator with a profound understanding of Indian payroll regulations. The ideal candidate will meticulously oversee the entire payroll process, ensuring strict compliance with Indian labor laws and maintaining precise records.

Responsibilities:
1. Payroll Processing:
a) Ensure accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll, including verifying and inputting attendance, leaves, and other components.
b) Maintain the integrity of the employee payroll database, overseeing pay rates, tax withholding, and other relevant information, with a review of data entry post each payroll process.
c) Manage the distribution, reception, proofing, and verification of timecards as per Company policy. Compute overtime, vacation, sick, jury duty, and weekly hours worked, entering computations and labor distribution into the timecard/attendance entry system, and balance the timecard batch input with payroll transactions used in the calculation process.
d) Handle exit calculations and employee full & final settlement.
2. Compliance Management:
a) Stay abreast of Indian labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory compliance.
b) Ensure timely preparation and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax returns, adhering to regulatory requirements.
3. Benefits Administration:
a) Administer employee benefits, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and handle related queries.
b) Collaborate with vendor agency to generate and distribute pay slips and reports to employees.
4. Communication:
a) Respond promptly and professionally to employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, and benefits.
b) Proactively communicate with employees to educate and ensure error-free payroll.
5. Audit and Reporting:
a) Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
b) Generate and analyze payroll reports for internal and statutory reporting purposes.
6. Process Improvement:
a) Identify opportunities for process improvements in Payroll Administration and implement changes to enhance efficiency.
b) Liaise with team members to organize data around HR Costs and support HR analytics and MIS reporting.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field.
2. Enthusiastic about assisting employees and proficient in payroll management.
3. Proven 6-8 years of experience as a payroll manager or in a similar role, team handling is must.
4. Up-to-date knowledge of payroll procedures, related laws, and proficiency in software such as SAP, ADP, and MS Office (especially Excel).
5. Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, effective communication (written and oral), organizational and leadership skills, as well as expertise in team management.
