AddressRapyuta Robotics is an ETH Zurich startup headquartered in Tokyo that operates with a vision to become the global leader in making robots more accessible. We lead the pick-assist AMR market in Japan and are backed by Goldman Sachs, Sony, and Yaskawa as investors.
We are opening a global hub in Chennai, an independent center to enable our global expansion. We are seeking a talented and experienced Systems Administrator with a knack for strategic thinking to join our IT team. This role is critical in managing our IT infrastructure, ensuring system security and efficiency, while also contributing to the strategic IT planning and execution that supports our company's growth and innovation goals.
Role and responsibilities
- Application and Account Management: Oversee the management of application accounts and access rights to our cloud infrastructure and software subscriptions, ensuring security and compliance.
- Internal IT Administration: Manage and maintain our office IT and network infrastructure to ensure business continuity
- IT Security and Compliance: Implement and manage security measures, conduct regular security audits, ensure compliance and adherence to IT best practices;
- Strategic IT and Tools Planning: Contribute to the development of IT strategies, choice of tools and services used, vendor selection, negotiation and management.
- Rollout and Migration: Part take in seamless migrations and new software rollout to our staff.
- Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical and troubleshooting support for our staff to ensure business continuity.
- Managing IT inventory, supplies and records.
- Budget Management: Assist in the planning and management of the IT budget, generating periodic reports and summaries, ensuring cost-effective procurement and utilization of IT resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with or knowledge of at least one scripting/programming language (eg: PowerShell, python, bash) and operating systems (windows and linux), active directory
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, with a strong background in MS365/Dynamics365-based IT infrastructure, and Azure cloud services.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to details, and strong task management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills in English, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical team members.
- Willingness to stay updated with the latest technologies and IT management practices.
- Resident of Chennai and willing to work from the office
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders
- (nice to have) Experience in strategic IT planning, policy development, and compliance management (GDPR, ISO 27001).
