Position Title: IT Analyst Applications (Technical Infrastructure)

Job Location: Thiruvallur, India

Job Description Summary:

Resource Industries IT currently has an opening for a Technical Infrastructure Analyst, located in the Chennai India area, supporting Manufacturing Mobility.  In this role, you will have the opportunity to serve as a Mobile Device Management (MDM) Administrator for the Asia Pacific region, providing Level 3 support for mobile devices to our manufacturing facilities.

Job Duties / Responsibilities include:

• Supporting manufacturing sites to provision barcode scanning devices, barcode printers, tablets, wearables and other mobile devices to Caterpillar’s SOTI MobiControl environment (new site registries or site device refreshes)
• Providing MobiControl configuration to mobile devices such as package and profile management, maintaining app and compliance policies, report creation and maintenance, global policy setup, or building lockdown screens for various devices
• Providing daily support for break/fix and service requests, and pushing monthly patches and updates to factory devices
• Participating in or leading mobility pilots to trial new devices or new configurations
• Working directly on technical problem identification and resolution, including weekend support functions
• Working independently or as part of a team on complex infrastructure technology components that may be used by one or more applications or systems
• Working independently or as part of a team on complex projects that may span multiple infrastructure components
• Working with vendors on the integration of purchased systems and/or infrastructure solutions

Required Qualifications:

• Candidate must have a Computer Science or Business degree, or 4 years IT application and/or network experience
• Candidate must be able to read, write and speak English
• Demonstrated experience with application support
• Working knowledge of Cisco network hardware and software and Factory firewalls
• Must be able to configure, update and troubleshoot issues regarding mobile devices and equipment; Must understand Microsoft Office Suite and be able to Install/Configure applications
• General Networking skills such as TCPIP settings, some knowledge of how VPN and Routers work; working knowledge of DNS and DHCP; must be able to troubleshoot network issues such as WiFi connectivity
• Ability to work independently and manage one’s time as well as being a collaborative team member
• Able to respond to demanding target dates
• Ability to reset passwords, create accounts and manage groups
• Availability to work off-shift when needed for systems changes or be on a call rotation to provide support should any systems be down on an evening or weekends

Top Candidates will also have:

• Understanding of IT Service Management and ITIL based support processes (Incident Management, Change Management, Problem management)
• Good communication skills, be an innovative thinker, have strong problem-solving skills, work well in a team environment, and possess strong customer relationship and customer support skills
• Script writing skills such as Javascript and DOS Batch files, PowerShell, VB Scripting
• 1 - 2 years demonstrated experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with the design, implementation, or support of control systems
• Working knowledge of LDAP authentication
