As an IT Engineer will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of our organization's information technology infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining IT infrastructure including servers, network devices, storage systems, and other hardware components.
- Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting operating systems, software applications, and utilities.
- Managing network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Monitoring system performance and responding to issues, incidents, and service requests in a timely manner.
- Implementing and maintaining backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls across various systems and applications.
- Evaluating and recommending hardware and software solutions to meet business requirements and improve efficiency.
- Collaborating with other IT team members and departments to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
- Providing technical support and training to end-users to enhance their productivity and proficiency with IT systems.
- Documenting system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity of operations.
- Keeping abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continuously improve IT infrastructure and operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing IT infrastructure in a corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency in operating systems such as Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Hands-on experience with networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft MCSA, VMware VCP) are a plus.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
