You will have the opportunity to analyze industry macro trends and company financials under the direction of the Research Head. You will also research, analyze and forecast varying corporate strategies of the company under consideration.Job Responsibilities
? Conducting comparative analysis of the midcap equity space and finding out investment
opportunities
? Building and maintaining financial models and industry databases for evaluating companies and
market segments.
? Initiate in-depth company coverage, conduct research on various sectors and identifying potential
companies for long term investments.
? Build detail financial models of various companies under coverage to produce potential
valuations on companies.
? Preparing research reports varying in size and scope from quick briefs on earnings results or
strategic events to more in-depth, original thought pieces on a range of topics.
? Communicating recommendations to sales, trading, management teams, institutional investor
clients and other important stakeholders in a timely manner. This includes verbal and email
communication.
? Review business & trade publication, annual reports, financial filings and other sources in order
to gather synthesize and interpret data on companies to be covered, monitoring and maintenance
of industry data.
? Interact with the managements of the companies under coverage, attending analyst meets and
conference calls.
? Interact with the clients to take informed decision on their investments and help them to
maximize returns.
? To update clients on quarterly and annual performance of the companies under coverage and
project future outlook based on financial analysis.
? Develop channel checks to keep abreast of the market dynamics.
Qualifications and Skills
? Strong academic background and a Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
? Minimum 3 years experience in research or similar field.
? Certification of NISM (compulsory).
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
? Good command over English & Hindi language, written and verbal both.
? Demonstrable financial experience including financial modelling, financial statement analysis and
working with large data.
? Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills and strong PC literacy or aptitude to learn
quickly.
? Should be an expert in Microsoft Excel and should be able to create industry-recognized financial
models.
? Worked as a sell side analyst and advised clients on companies and industry development through
management meet and industry conferences.
? Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail as well as to work in a time sensitive
environment
? Resourcefulness, entrepreneurial spirit, and proven leadership qualities as well as the ability to
work effectively in a team environment
