CGI is looking for a Financial Analyst with 1-3 years of applicable experience with an Accounting or Finance related degree to join our team. Qualified candidates will need to possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, good oral and written skills, attention to detail, eagerness to learn, and has a good understanding of forecasting, budgeting, and operational/financial accounting concepts (GAAP). Candidates in this role will be expected to work closely with other finance members, Department leaders and other senior members of CGI leadership. This Financial Analyst position supports the USCSG EVP P&L and all aspects of the Finance business, including budgeting, forecasting, monthly close process, balance sheet and P&L review, journal entries, SOX compliance, month-end reporting, Reporting Package, and ad-hoc support of any financial requests from the other USCSG BUs or Global Functions.
1. Managing month-end financial accounting and reporting process
2. Providing timely and accurate financial analytical support and information to the CGI Business Units within the US, both as regularly scheduled and in response to ad hoc requests
3. Completing expenses, including accruals, capitalization and amortization schedules for monthly close in a timely manner to allow consolidation, review and submittal of results within CGI’s close due dates
4. Providing detailed reporting and analysis of monthly financial information to include revenue and cost variances and trend analysis as well as proactively monitoring large expenditures and swings from month to month
5. Working closely with department leaders in monthly forecasting and analyze variances to previous forecast and budget
6. Prepare monthly reporting packages/dashboards for CGI Business Unit leadership
CA & CMA plus 1-3 years of experience in Finance/Accounting, Excel proficiency, GAAP, revenue recognition, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
