AddressSummary of Position:
Support the assessment of Alcon products to ensure Alcon can demonstrate compliance to environmental regulations, maintaining design history files in PLM system and requirement traceability in ALM system.
Act as Process Lead
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as Process Lead, ensuring quality of internal compliance reports (CMR/ED and ERA) and mentoring junior engineers
- Support Environmental Product Compliance Manager and Environmental Sustainability Senior Manager in managing project timelines and ensuring timely delivery of reports and other documents
- Support Global HSE to query internal and external databases for timely provision of information requests from internal and external stakeholders
- Utilize internal and external information sources data analysis and summarize results and conclusions in an email and/or a report
- Support Preliminary and Deep-dive assessments for upcoming or new product-related regulations for Alcon products on the market
- Manage the generation of SDS for new products and maintains current SDS for existing products.
- Oversee generation of Statements of Compliance by junior engineers
Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
- BS of Engineering with 5-8 years experience
- Knowledge of environmental regulations
- Experience in supervision or mentoring
- Knowledge of data mining and reporting software applications (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau or similar)
- Ability to work independently, proactively identify issues, recommend and implement solutions, and deliver quality results on schedule while managing multiple tasks and customers
- Project management and analytics experience
- Good interpersonal & communication skills to build positive departmental and inter-departmental relationships in a virtual, remote and asynchronous environment
- Technology savviness to automate simple tasks for process improvement and cycle time reduction (e.g., data queries, data analyses, documentation)
- Fluent English
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Project Management experience
- Leadership experience
- Superior Excel and/or other database data analysis and visualization tools
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and guidelines
- Excellent Technical/Scientific Writing in English in a regulated environment
- Superior verbal English communication skill (in a remote environment)
- Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Data analytics tools (e.g., Alteryx, Knime or equivalent)
Work hours: 1 PM to 10 PM IST
