Job Purpose
This Job Position is accountable for product quality assurance by establishing, implementing and maintaining the process controls and procedures with operational teams and leading continuous improvements to provide quality consistent and reliable products to customers.
Job Context
Support Quality Manager in achieving product quality by adhering to Quality systems and processes at Lawson fuses India site.
Job Dimensions
Position will work as QA engineer in incoming/process quality function.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for inspection of incoming material through quality instruments like conductivity meter, plating thickness tester, density test set up, pull force tested, bursting strength tester. Reject all the incoming raw materials fail to meet quality expectations and report the issue to the concerned department.
- Taking care of QA|QC documents like incoming inspection report, in process inspection & pre-dispatch inspection, set up approval report, FAIR report and test result.
- Informing to supplier for find any quality issues via mail or conduct supplier visit & resolve it with action plan.
- Raise NCR to concern department for not obeying standard quality procedures & practices. Responsible for closure of non-conformance.
- Responsible for clear GRN at incoming stage, clear production order in dynamic 365.
- Examining the quality of raw materials that are used in production. Rejecting products that fail quality standards.
- Producing statistical reports for incoming rejection/in process rejection/final rejection /supplier rejection.
- Prepare FPY % rating for routine test of Resistance results.
- Reporting to upper management on quality standard issues.
- Analysing quality control system though regular inspection, review on inspection results etc.
- Investigate and troubleshoot product and production issue.
- Developing corrective Action and improvements.
- Responsible for handling calibration activity of all instruments of plant which is directly impact on measurement error. Reviewing calibration file on suggested frequency & send to calibration agency for calibration.
- Collaborating with production team to develop and implement controls and improvement. Guide the production team about the quality control issues to enhance the quality of the product.
- Work with internal teams to increase customer satisfaction by improving the quality of the products.
- Reporting daily rejection to upper management for improvements.
- Participate in Gemba meeting & circulating daily Gemba points to all departments.
- Supporting for implementation of QC Tools, kaizen, six sigma.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Full time engineering Diploma/Degree from an AICTE affiliated university and minimum 2+ years post qualification working experience in switchgear industry or similar bespoke discrete product industry.
