Our Conglomerate Client is Hiring Director Supply Chain & Operations - Full Truck Load in Mumbai Location
What will you do?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced organization with a vision to build a strong Logistics ecosystem. As a Lead- Supply & Operations, you will be responsible for deriving a comprehensive strategy for Vendor Onboarding/Management & Fleet Management. You shall be directly driving operational metrics, maintaining a portfolio of freight promoters, fleet owners and drivers, achieving sales growth in ancillary services and collaborating with the Business Head in improving supply &operations processes.
Core Responsibilities:
- To develop Supply & Operations strategies/roadmap and drive market share, profitability and brand positioning while maintaining strong relationships with vendors (FOs & FPs)& external stakeholders.
- Maintain &adhere to the RBML's processes and policies.
- Finalize the supply & Operations plan and monitor the actuals for Pan India vendors to ensure achievement of monthly and annual business targets are in line with the AOP.
- Oversee end to end execution/implementation of the business plans.
- Collaborate with BU Head to identify new initiatives/ projects and set operational plans that meet these future demands.
- Participate in Supply & Operations budgeting cycle & process (AOP) and provide inputs on budget allocation.
- Ensure operating margin positive (OP)and drive operations metrics.
- Managers & control payables effectively by periodic review of vendor outstanding, over dues and initiate corrective actions if required to minimize working capital cycle.
- Strategize to ensure maximise Fuel sales & build capabilities to contribute for RO Network planning.
- Responsible for driving and achieving sales target for ancillary services by Freight Promoters/Fleet owners.
- Drive acquisition and retention of Freight Promoters and Fleet Owners/Truckers to meet Business Goals.
- Ensure compliance of business activities with guidelines to minimize/mitigate/eliminate relevant risks.
- Responsible for ensuring the management of deliveries from suppliers and the despatch of goods is both timely and efficient and complies with service level agreements.
- Maintenance of agreed SLAs & TAT for the logistics movement
- Management of both permanent and contract staff, you will also be involved in any recruitment and, when required, disciplinary action.

Qualifications:
- B.Tech or MBA with min 15+ years business experience in managing Supply (FP/FP) & Operations preferably in Logistics industry
- Good understanding of how freight market and relationships between truckers, consignors, shippers and broker's work.
- Experience with an existing digital freight aggregation platform will be preferred.
- Good understanding of local geography, culture, market characteristics& hold on managing on-ground operations.
- Open to travelling and Ability to work independently and pro-actively.
