Project Manager

Schneider Electric (SE) is the global specialist in energy management and automation. About the group (SD): All IT needs for SE are managed by a group called Schneider Digital (SD); spread across 303 locations in 60 countries with over 2300 staff; along with various engagements with all major Global IT Service Providers.

About the role: There are various Business as well as Digital transformation initiatives within Schneider Digital for making it agile as well as best in class. This role’s pivotal responsibility would be to lead one of the global initiatives, taking up complete end-to-end ownership of Project Management, right from Business Requirement gathering to showcasing the ROI.

Functional

1. Experience in leading large cross functional/domain Project teams

2. Go-to-person for all Project related information

3. Coordinating the overall governance for the project

4. Define and implement operating rhythm

5. Capture and monitor all key metrics as required by the Schneider Electrics Customer Service and Quality teams

6. Experience in managing challenging stakeholders

7. Ability to validate change requests

8. Experience in Change management/Business Transformation

Technical/Project Management

1. Hands on extensive experience in preparing detailed Project Schedules using standard tools like Microsoft Project Planner (MPP)

2. Extensive experience in Budget and Forecast planning, tracking actual Costs

3. Should have delivered at least five large projects from end-to-end project management aspect

4. Experience in managing Global Projects spanning at least 10 countries

5. Good knowledge of SDLC and various Software development frameworks (Agile, Iterative, DEVOPS)

6. Prior experience in Delivery / Product Management

7. Should have managed budgets

8. Experience in managing multi-year long projects.

9. Ability to churn and present numbers in different dimensions as per the need

10. Expertise in getting into lowest level of details and planning

11. Prepare/validate Statement of Work for suppliers


Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

1. Project planning and tracking of activities/tasks

2. Escalate and identify other routes where progress is stuck

3. Tracking and following up the action items at a project level

4. Ensure all requests are addressed in a timely manner with optimal solution

5. Simplify – use every opportunity to simplify to the maximum extent possible and go the extra mile in doing so

6. Collaborate with internal teams to address Business needs

7. Assume personal responsibility for achieving defined outcomes

8. Effectively plan & organize work to deliver consistent results

9. Ensure regular and optimal communication with all stakeholders

10. Stake Holder Management

11. Budgeting and forecasting for the year and tracking expenses regularly.

12. Manage Escalations, ensuring nothing goes to the next level

Desired Skills (Nice to have in addition to the Required Skills)

1. Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture

2. Familiar with latest Digital Trends in Finance & Accounting

3. Delivered E2E projects in ERP/Infra/Cloud/Finance/HR/Data domains

4. Consulting Mindset

Shift Timings

Global projects are being managed by PM CoE. Hence, candidate should be flexible in shift timings. He/She may need to work in different time zones based on project/program requirement.
