Job Description

What you’ll be doing 

• Be the first line of defense and operational support for internal / external users.  

  
  

• Monitor AWS cloud-based and premise-based production systems, to ensure the availability, performance, scalability, and security of production systems. 

  
  

• Responsible for all SSL Certificate renewals/ decommissioning and provisioning. 

  
  

• Support CI/CD Pipelines across all environments (Travis/Jenkins/AWS CodeBuild/AWS CodePipeline) 

  
  

• Proactively work with Engineering and IT users to ensure proper monitoring is in place within applications. 

  
  

• Take initiative to partner with stakeholders to create and maintain runbook documentation and procedures. 

  
  

• Assist Engineering teams to support Security vulnerability management (patching) 

  
  

• Keep management informed of status on all issues, projects, and initiatives.  

  
  

• Advanced knowledge across all Enterprise monitoring tools employed by ECS TOC. 

  
  

• Understand ECS Business and all IT applications and services that could impact customers.  

  
  

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in a technical operations role.  

  
  

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.  

  
  

• Experience in CI/CD Pipelines and how to leverage them properly to ensure minimum impact to production systems 

  
  

• Experience with infrastructure as code 

  
  

• Experience in scripting languages - Python, Bash, Ansible 

  
  

• Knowledge of Linux/Microsoft OS (RHEL, Amazon Linux, Ubuntu) 

  
  

• Knowledge with AWS Cloud Infrastructure (EC2, CloudFormation, ELB/ALB, AWS WAF, Lambda, DynamoDB etc.) 

  
  

• Exceptional working knowledge of modern IT monitoring systems such as: Splunk, AWS CloudWatch, and DataDog. 

  
  

• Exceptional working knowledge of modern IT operations systems/tools such as: Atlassian Confluence, Atlassian Jira, Atlassian Statuspage, and xMatters. 

  
  

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are essential. Fluent in English. 

  
  

• Ability to work in a fast paced, e-commerce environment 

  
  

• Ability to work across global teams and working with different cultures across different time zones
