Data Engineer/Azure Bigdata for Sales Comp IT
Looking for an Azure Big Data engineer to join Sales Comp IT team. As a data engineer, you will be responsible for building and managing data pipelines which includes ingestion and delivery of batched data and streaming data from multiple sources. You drive the effectiveness, efficiency within the team and related systems.
Implement best practices for overall data processing and supportability.
Collaborate and maintain strong working relationships with partners and internal stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of quality data.
Designing and implementing data ingestion pipelines from multiple sources using Azure Databricks
Developing scalable and re-usable frameworks for ingesting of data sets
Detailed Requirements / Preferences:
Strong understanding & familiarity with all Azure/Bigdata Ecosystem components, Azure Data warehouse
Expertise in designing and deploying data applications on cloud solutions, using Azure.
Strong hands-on experience with languages/Tools such as T-SQL, Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), ADLS, Azure Storage, Azure Automation, Hive
Prior experience on performance improvements in a MS SQL Server environment
Proficient in programming languages like Pyspark and Python
Good understanding of SQL, T-SQL, Azure Git, VSTS
Working with other members of the project team to support delivery of additional project components (API interfaces)
Integrating the end-to-end data pipeline - to take data from source systems to target data repositories ensuring the quality and consistency of data is always maintained.
Collaborate with Azure DevOps engineers to develop solutions and solve technical and design problems.
Experience in Enterprise grade solution implementations
Hands on experience in performance tuning and optimizing code running in Databricks environment.
Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills particularly those that apply to a big data environment.
Good verbal and written communication skills; influencing skills and ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent
At least 3 years of work experience as a big data engineer or similar role
Worked in geographically diverse teams.
Experience transforming teams and organizations to new methodologies.
