Brief on the Organization:
The Institute of Public Health Sciences Hyderabad (IPHSH) is a society registered under Telangana society’s registration Act 2001 and is managed by an empowered governing board comprising of corporate leaders, civil society representatives and eminent academic and scientific leaders. IPHSH’s core mission areas include establishing and governing the Indian Institute of Public Health-Hyderabad for developing public health workforce; advancing public health research and technology; and strengthening health systems through evidence informed practice and policy.
The Indian Institute of Public Health (IIPH) Hyderabad commenced with a mission to deliver public health education, pursue research and advocacy and support policy development. It lays strong emphasis on pursuing public health policy, practice, training and research, positioning its programmes according to the public health priorities of the state and the nation. The institute has brought together a highly qualified and diverse faculty of nationally and internationally trained and extremely motivated public health academics and practitioners. It aims to create an environment that supports excellence in instruction, research and practice.
The project ‘Comprehensive study on strengthening the Public Health Management Cadres at the PHC-level, Divisional-level, and District-level in Andhra Pradesh, India’ aims to establish a collaborative partnership between IIPHH and the State Government to conduct a comprehensive study on strengthening the Public Health Management Cadres at the PHC-level, Divisional level, and District-level in Andhra Pradesh, India.
- Conduct a comprehensive desk-based review of documents related to public health cadres at PHC, Divisional, and District levels.
- Map out the current roles and responsibilities of various public health cadres.
- Provide a detailed report summarizing findings, including organizational structures, job descriptions, and existing KPIs/mechanisms for performance monitoring.
- Communicate with the government officials to ensure timely distribution and dissemination of information/reports.
- Organize and facilitate FGDs and consultations with different health cadres to understand their perspectives on current roles and responsibilities.
- Data analysis including document insights gathered from discussions, including challenges faced, suggested improvements, and emerging needs.
- Present/prepare reports summarizing FGD findings and recommendations.
- Additional works as assigned by the supervisor/PI of the project.
Essential:
- Masters in Public Health (MPH)/MD Community Medicine.
Essential:
- 2 years’ experience in Research and Quantitative Analysis.
Desirable:
- Experience in working with State/National Government, Qualitative analysis skills, and well-versed in Telugu and English.
