Cobol-Application Developer

Project Role : Application Developer Project Role Description : Design, build and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements. Must have skills : COBOL Good to have skills : Java Minimum 4 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years of fulltime education Key Reponsibilities : A: Create and review technical detailed designs to fulfill business specifications/needs B: Support the team in the creation, review, unit-testing, and integration testing of software C: Support the team in analyzing and fixing defects/bugs in the application software D: Support the team in architecture and design discussions and participate in quality assurance activities E: Proactively participate in the scrum ceremonies of the team F: Follow security coding standards and practices Technical Experience : A: Minimum 3 years of programming experience with z/OS COBOL / DB2-SQL and with good knowledge of programming of batch and online processes B: Good knowledge of JCL and mainframe application scheduler (more than 2 years of experience) C: Experience with software change and management tools/solutions such as Changeman, Gitlab, etc. D: Good analytical skills with a proactive attitude to resolving technical challenges E: Experience in working in an agile setup Professional Attributes : Good communication
