Job Description
Business Setup and Management:
- Establish and implement the Gold Loan vertical's business strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's growth targets.
- Develop comprehensive budgets, prepare reports for senior management, and monitor compliance with company policies.
- Oversee all financial aspects, including budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, to ensure sound financial management.
- Assess and identify growth opportunities in current and prospective markets, setting clear goals and objectives for the vertical.
- Design business strategies and plans to achieve company goals and regularly assess overall company performance.
- Evaluate and implement strategic alliances and partnerships with fintech players across the gold loan value chain.
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies for Gold Loan products including doorstep gold loan product.
Revenue Generation and Client Relations:
- Lead a nationwide sales team to achieve sales targets, fostering productive relationships with key customer accounts.
- Negotiate and close agreements with large customers, ensuring their satisfaction.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics, suggesting improvements and providing timely solutions aligned with client needs.
- Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to maintain brand consistency.
- Oversee the performance of multiple zones and regions, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
- Effectively cross sell and up sell products to customers.
- Monitor asset quality, compliance, and adherence to SOPs.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage a team of professionals within the Gold Loan vertical, setting clear objectives and providing guidance.
- Create a collaborative and high-performance culture, promoting excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Provide mentorship and support to team members, monitoring their performance and offering regular feedback.
- Collaborate with Zonal and Regional Heads to align staffing and resource allocation with business needs.
Stakeholder Management:
- Manage relationships with existing banking partners, ensuring their satisfaction and retention.
- Identify and onboard new banking partners, expanding our range of offerings in the Gold Loan vertical.
- Proactively monitor rate movements and liability profiles of partners, managing any rate changes effectively.
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, industry associations, and financial institutions.
Risk Management:
- Implement effective risk management strategies to safeguard the division's interests.
- Monitor the overall portfolio health (delinquency levels) and take adequate actions to ensure portfolio quality.
- Monitor the mark to market status of the portfolio and plan gold auctions to ensure zero LTV breaches.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.
Brand Promotion:
- Oversee brand promotion initiatives and marketing campaigns to enhance brand equity.
- Ensure a strong market presence and customer engagement.
The Successful Applicant
Qualifications:
- Graduation / Post Graduation (MBA Preferred)
Experience:
- 12 to 15 years with a proven track record in managing a gold loan end to end.
- Experience in setting up and expanding new business verticals preferred.
Functional Competencies:
- Experience in designing products & schemes.
- Management of sales channels - branch, doorstep gold loan, cross sells.
- P&L management of the gold loan business.
- Manage Portfolio at Risk (PAR) and track the mark to market metrics of the portfolio.
- Deep understanding of RBI compliances related to gold loan.
- Management of gold auction procedures.
- Experience in managing risk related to Gold Loans.
