A Business Analyst is responsible for the implementation and support of business information systems across multiple departments. They identify problems and opportunities within a company and ultimately provide solutions that help achieve the business' goals. A Business Analyst should cover collaborating with financial reporting and IT teams to develop initiatives and strategies that optimise costs and improve internal and external reporting. They should also have a good command of Accounting and Real Estate and Investment Management and accounting knowledge would be an asset.
Responsibilities:
A Business Analyst provides an elevated level of client support according to the needs of the specific clients assigned. This role includes, but is not limited to the following primary duties:
Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
Become solution expert in all of the real estate specific software Assetsoft supports, providing remote and onsite product consulting and training as part of implementation (software supported include, but not limited to Yardi, MRI, Microsoft Dynamics, CoStar).
Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
Staying up to date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts.
Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.
Working closely with clients, technicians, and managerial staff.
Providing leadership, training, coaching, and guidance to junior staff.
Allocating resources and maintaining cost efficiency.
Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
Performing user acceptance testing.
Managing projects, developing project plans, and monitoring performance.
Updating, implementing and maintaining procedures.
Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
Managing competing resources and priorities.
Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.
Education:
A bachelor’s degree in business or related field or an MBA.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years experience in business analysis or a related field.
Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
Advanced technical skills and Excellent documentation skills.
Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
A track record of following through on commitments.
Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
Experience leading and developing top performing teams.
A history of leading and supporting successful projects.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with
a diverse group: executives, managers, subject matter experts, and software developers.
Multi-task and function efficiently with very aggressive schedules/timelines.
Apply technical and functional leading practices as applicable to each project.
Knowledge of accounting and business process in real estate and investment management.
Experience supporting technical areas of implementation and PM.
Familiarity with Microsoft SQL would be an asset.
PMP Certification and/or equivalent combination of related coursework and experience.
Short notice period candidates preferred (1 month or less).
