Job description

What you'll do:
- Success in this role will require the Portfolio Manager to be flexible and able to adapt to the needs of the business, analyzing and measuring the effectiveness of existing business processes and developing sustainable and quantifiable improvements.
- Analyze existing processes and identifying areas for improvement.
- Identify Business solutions which provide value to Customer / Colleague
- Work closely with the Global Domains / Value Streams to ensure effective prioritization, representing the UK business to support delivery of the Capabilities required to achieve the Strategic vision.
- To perform a key role within the Portfolio Oversight team to support the successful delivery
- Work with the Business to define detailed value-focused solution options based on the opportunity and provide recommendations, weighing up investment vs. return.
- Bring structure and order to undefined problems and / or large-scale problems, making them easier to address and solve.
- Work closely with the Global Domains / Value Streams to ensure effective prioritization, representing the GPB&W UK business to support delivery of the Capabilities required to achieve the Strategic vision.
Principal Accountabilities: Key activities and decision making areas
Impact on the Business/Function
Holistic Oversight of GPB&W UK Market change portfolio:
- Co-ordination of annual VSIP (Value Stream Investment Plan) planning and prioritization
- Management and co-ordination of VSIP Change Requests and impact assessments.
- Oversight of VSIP spend in line with budgets.
- Maintain roadmaps and delivery plans understanding dependencies and mitigating risks to the business.
- QBR (Quarterly Business Review) management and tracking
- Support and oversight of CiC's (Capability Investment Cases)
Portfolio management:
- Facilitate the prioritization and support delivery of the capabilities required to achieve the Strategic vision.
- Support the IWS&I UK Journeys in the effective management, coordination, and delivery of change across all delivery pillars (Journey Management, Optimization, Commercialization and Transformational Delivery)
- Assist IWS&I UK Journeys with effective agile ways of working and a coordinated operating rhythm across all delivery pillars e.g., management of delivery runways
- Manage the New Demand process for IWS&I Journeys, working with Heads of Journey to prioritize initiatives effectively.
- Support the Business in Benefit modelling from defining to tracking.
Qualifications - External
What you will need to succeed in the role:
- Proficient in Change Management methodology
- Track record of excellent stakeholder relations
- Must possess effective presentation, interpersonal, negotiation and analytical skills.
- Experience in consulting, coaching and/or training on Agile practices.
- Good history of fostering and maintaining best practice solutions and tools to improve / optimize workflow, identify opportunities for synergy and integration, simplify complex processes and maximize own productivity.
- Support process design activities (using customer centric experience)
- Experience in the use of JIRA and Confluence
- Demonstrated ability to maintain and navigate the organization using formal / informal networking skills.
- High degree of integrity and maturity, and ability to keep confidential/highly sensitive information safe.
- Good experience with data analysis and interpretation
- Capable of analyzing large volumes of information, possessing of sound judgment, and able to make compelling, practical risk-based recommendations and decisions on a balanced assessment of the facts.
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and to operate in a clearly structured, well-controlled manner.
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral, with an ability to write in a clear, concise, and persuasive way.
- Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
- Minimum of a BA/BS degree, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- At least 2 years' experience in Private Banking or Wealth Management
- Overall 8 -9 years of experience in banking domain
