This job position is for a Lead Portfolio Architect, who is responsible for Application Management. Preference would be for an architect with history in Service Management as one of the key jobs will be to architect the service model for MIS-PC Next-Gen Delivery.
Profile description:
- Capture New Business Requirements. Translate Requirements from Customer in to Solutions (blueprinting)
- Accountable to pre-Sales opportunities from an architectural perspective. Architecture/Solution Consultancy to Customer and SGA internal Projects.
- Create High-Level architectural designs (including blueprint, scope, requirements, service design, compliance).
- Accountable for Identifying Service or Application-Landscape Improvement opportunities.
Technical Skills:
- Competence level = Senior/Lead, at least 10 years working experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of typical Architecture activities (Requirements management, write High Level Designs, discussing and presenting solutions, provide effort estimates).
- Knowledge of TOGAF or comparable architecture framework.
- Experience with Agile framework and way of working
- Knowledge of HybridCloud, including Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon (AWS).
- Knowledge of at least 4 of the following areas:
- Hosting (VMware, Wintel, Linux, Hyperconverged),
- Databases (Oracle & SQL)
- Storage (HDS, NetApp, EMC),
- Networking (switching, routing, firewall),
- Security & Compliance incl. Monitoring/Logging
- Strong focus on Application Management Design
- Knowledge of Security Standards (ISO 2700x, ESARIS preferred), required for all design work (including Cloud)

- A vital part of the Lead Portfolio Architect's competence is communication. Considering that this role entails negotiating with stakeholders, understanding the needs of all parties, managing risks, and product delivery, the lack of communication skills can create a real bottleneck. The position requires working closely with enterprise and software architects, business analysts, and project teams. So, an successful candidate should be able to listen, advise, empathize, and explain.
