Job Summary: The Assistant Manager - Sales and Marketing plays a pivotal role in shaping the company's image, driving sales, and fostering long-term customer relationships, ultimately contributing significantly to the organization's growth and success

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Developing Sales and Marketing Strategies:

  • Market Analysis: Conducting market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and trends.
  • Strategic Planning: Developing comprehensive sales and marketing strategies aligned with the company's objectives and market demands.

2.Setting Sales Targets and Goals:

  • Target Setting: Establishing clear sales targets, both individual and team goals, in collaboration with the senior management.
  • Forecasting: Predicting future sales trends and planning accordingly to meet sales targets.

3. Client Relationship Management:

  • Customer Engagement: Building and maintaining relationships with clients, understanding their requirements, and addressing their concerns.
  • Customer Retention: Implementing strategies to retain existing clients through excellent service, relationship building, and understanding client needs.

4.Product Knowledge and Presentation:

  • Product Understanding: Having an in-depth knowledge of the company's products or services to effectively promote them.
  • Sales Presentations: Delivering compelling sales presentations and demonstrations to potential clients.

5.Team Leadership and Training:

  • Team Management: Leading and motivating the sales and marketing teams to achieve targets and foster a positive work environment.
  • Training and Development: Providing continuous training to the team members to enhance their skills and product knowledge

6.Sales Monitoring and Analysis:

  • Sales Tracking: Monitoring sales activities, analyzing sales data, and evaluating the effectiveness of sales strategies.
  • Data Analysis: Using data-driven insights to make informed decisions, optimize sales approaches, and identify areas for improvement.

7.Marketing and Promotions:

  • Marketing Campaigns: Developing and overseeing marketing campaigns, including online marketing, advertising, events, and promotions.
  • Brand Building: Enhancing brand awareness through strategic marketing initiatives and innovative promotional activities.

8.Budgeting and Resource Allocation:

  • Budget Management: Managing the sales and marketing budget effectively, allocating resources to different campaigns and strategies.
  • ROI Analysis: Analyzing the return on investment (ROI) of marketing initiatives and adjusting strategies based on performance.

9.Collaboration and Communication:

  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborating with other departments like product development and customer service to ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Reporting: Providing regular reports to senior management, detailing sales achievements, market trends, and upcoming strategies.

10.Market Expansion and Business Development:

  • New Market Exploration: Identifying and exploring new markets, understanding their dynamics, and planning market entry strategies.
  • Business Partnerships: Establishing partnerships and collaborations to expand the company's reach and enhance its market presence.

The Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for this role shall be:

  1. Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales revenue targets.
  2. Increase the company's market share in targeted regions and industries.
  3. Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  4. Improve the accuracy of sales forecasts.
  5. Increase client engagement through regular interactions and feedback.
  6. Ensure the sales team possesses comprehensive product knowledge.
  7. Improve team performance through continuous training and development.
  8. Achieve a positive return on investment for marketing campaigns.
  9. Successfully enter and establish the company in new markets.
  10. Number of new partnerships formed, their impact on business, and the value generated from partnerships

Desired Candidate Profile

Education and Certifications:

q Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or MBA, Marketing, or a related field.

q Additional technical qualifications in mechanical are a plus.

Experience:

q Minimum 4-6 years of experience in sales and marketing roles.

q Relevant experience within the manufacturing company.

q Previous technical sales experience in engineering manufacturing environment.

q Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.

Technical / Functional Expertise & other competencies:

q In-depth knowledge of casting processes, materials, and industry standards.

q Proficient in sales and marketing techniques, including digital marketing and social media.

q Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

q Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office Suite, and digital marketing tools.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing and motivating a high-performing sales team
