What is the purpose of this role?

Shopper Development team in CP is the key bridge between Consumer Marketing and the Direct Trade team to drive the company's business objectives and strategic priorities. In this strategic role, you will be a part of the Direct Trade Shopper Development team involved in developing and implementing the strategic priorities for the DT channel

Why is this exciting? 

The Asst. Manager Shopper Development is the key link in transforming the Company wide priorities and strategy into clear actionables for the field team. Your role as part of the Direct Trade Shopper Development team is to translate business strategy and consumer understanding into clear actionables for field teams basis customer nuances and overall objectives by customer

What would be the responsibilities for this role?

• Developing the in-store strategy to achieve strategic priorities outlined by CP and the respective customers
• Data based decision making - Analysis of market share and metrics like ND/ WD/ Offtake figures and other internal data points to arrive at the optimum customer strategy for CP w.r.t. to category growth & share growth
• Developing and leveraging Shopper Understanding to drive Business
  • Closely partnering with Brand Management team and sharing Customer specific insights to help design the Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy
  • Conceptualizing in-market solutions to tap local business opportunities, and liaising with field teams for the successful implementation of the same
• Driving Execution Excellence in field teams
  • Partnering with Customer Development Managers on GTM strategies and driving GTMs on ground through field teams
  • Conceptualizing and developing performance dashboards for Field team, customers and drive execution excellence

What does the ideal candidate profile look like?

• Required
  • 2-4 years of overall experience including 2+ years of frontline sales
  • Prior experience with FMCG
  • MBA from Tier-1 or Tier-2 b-school
• Preferred
  • Prior experience in Retail Marketing / Trade Marketing / Modern Trade
