- Has a good knowledge of wine/food menu and presentation standards. Always be in the right grooming standards.
- Always ensure that the service standards are maintained at all times, and serve Food & Beverage items with enthusiasm and in the specified time. No delay.
- Check mise-en-scene and mise-en-place done by the team.
- To attend training sessions and courses and to assist with the ‘on-the-job’ training of new staff, as required.
- To handle complaints in a professional and courteous manner and to provide appropriate solutions. To immediately inform the reporting manager of all cases. To forward solutions and suggestions to eradicate complaints and other comments from guests. The same applies for any staff complaint also.
- To read all relevant company notices and other correspondence and to regularly observe company and departmental noticeboards.
- To uphold good housekeeping practices, ensuring a safe, clean, tidy and pleasant working environment. All areas including the lawn bar, porch and toilets to be clean at all times.
- To ensure the proper care and security of guest items, outlet equipment, stock, furniture and fixtures, reporting malfunction or theft to the reporting manager, immediately.
- Duty roaster to be made on a monthly basis. Maintain discipline and conduct staff appraisals.
- Ensure the safety and hygiene of the outlet.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team related to any food item being not available or low on supply from stores and take necessary steps.
- FIFO of wines and food items to be done always when received. Every wine case has its individual dispatch number.
- Coordinate with other departments for the smooth supply of operational supplies.
Qualifications - Any Hotel Management Degree/Diploma
