As an Assistant Manager – Business Development for Agri & Sustainability Certifications you will be responsible for generating business leads, maintaining relationship with clients and coordinating internally and externally.

Tasks and responsibilities
- Generating business leads for the entire gamut of Certifications Programmes (Agriculture, Inputs, Forestry and Sustainability certifications) of the company
- Identifying business opportunities with existing as well as new clients and working in co-operation with operations for redesigning services
- Ensuring timely application forms, contracts and quotations are executed for existing and potential clients
- Follow up on invoicing and payments in consultation with the Accounts team
- Monitoring outstanding and ensuring does not exceed defined threshold level
- Mapping client’s requirements and providing them expert advisory services
- Attending to routine techno-commercial business queries for existing clients
- Leading our participation in tender process, its timely submission and follow up of business proposals with Govt as well as NGO organisations
- Submit monthly MIS and performance reviews
- Monitor client satisfaction and register it, enable analysis at the end of the year
- Perform market analysis for the industry and identify new opportunities (markets, service, clients)
- Developing marketing and sales strategy to improve service awareness and enhanced CU brand proposition
- Client acquisition to ensure quarterly business target is met for the division
- Maintaining good relationship with existing clients
- Plan and organize trainings, workshops and seminars for clients, regionally
- Keeping abreast of all the Certifications Programmes offered by the company as well as any market innovation
- Keeping abreast of developments, issues and legislative changes pertaining to related industry sectors at national and international level
- Extensive travel (up to 15-20 days in a month) across India
Requirements
- Graduate in Agriculture, Environment Science, Forestry or related discipline (Agriculture Engineering/ Agri Business Management)
- Post-graduate in Business Administration (Marketing/ Agribusiness Management/ Agriculture)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing/sales in agriculture and food industry
- Experience and knowledge of agriculture, organic, forestry and sustainable programmes
- Knowledge and skill of tender process of Government and NGOs
- In-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition
- Conflict resolution abilities while dealing with customers
- Good command of English in speech and in writing
- Excellent presentation skills
- Resourceful, fast learner with strong interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Willingness to travel extensively anywhere in the country
