Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
- Analyze financial data and trends to provide meaningful insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather relevant information for budgeting and forecasting processes.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide regular financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Internal Controls:
- Establish and maintain effective internal control systems to safeguard the organization's assets and ensure financial accuracy.
- Conduct regular internal audits to identify and address potential financial risks.
Risk Management:
- Identify and assess financial risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Monitor changes in economic conditions and industry trends that may impact the organization's financial stability.
Cash Management:
- Manage and optimize cash flow to meet operational needs and financial obligations.
- Implement effective treasury management practices to maximize liquidity and minimize financial risks.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to financial reporting and taxation.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies as required.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the team's skills and knowledge.
Financial Strategy:
- Contribute to the development and execution of the organization's financial strategy.
- Provide strategic financial advice to the executive team to support decision-making.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Communicate financial information and performance to stakeholders, including board members, investors, and external partners.
- Address inquiries and provide clarifications to ensure a transparent and accurate representation of the organization's financial status.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred.
- Proven experience in financial management, accounting, and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
