Job Purpose
    • Support in an accurate and timely way the monthly, quarterly, hard-close and year-end-financial closing for the entities in the region
    • Maintain and share with the entities the set-up of the financial reporting – and general ledger structure for both IFRS and statutory reporting
    • Active interaction with other RAC analysts, BU Accounting Manager(s) and GBS about accounting subjects, transaction processing and performance
    • Support BU accounting manager in ad hoc specific BU activities

Key Accountabilities
    • This position would be an Individual Contributor. Work closely with the Team Leader in achieving the required goals and timelines. Proactively manage issues through understanding of the overall processes and interconnect.
    • Candidate should have good knowledge of fixed asset module/process (Asset creation, disposal, depreciation, asset settlement, AUC cleanup/follow up etc.).
    • Candidate should have knowledge about Lease accounting (IFRS 16). Reconciliation, maintenance of lease accounting etc.
    • This position is responsible for plant operations and financial reports, account reconciliations, journal entries, accrual and analysis. Owns accurate and timely way to required ongoing, monthly, quarterly, and annual IFRS / accounting related activities for the entities in the region. Assure that month end closing deadlines are met.
    • Analyze Balance Sheet (BS), Profit & Loss (P&L) figures and variances.
    • Review and potentially adjust reports (A-Forms) in HFM.
    • Focus on Balance Sheet and P&L for (group of) LEs (company codes), execute high level review and answer specific expertise questions during month and month-end closing.
    • Translates IFRS/webFEM policy to MIAC administration and Local GAAP
    • Drive that changes in policies with reference to IFRS are reflected and embedded (e.g. training / SOP / policy / communications) in the processes.
    • Makes sure governance structure is applied; monitor adherence to internal control requirements and daily interaction with shared services organization and business
    • Candidate should have analytical mindset and should also be a quick learner to understand and analyze new situations and business problems/requirements.
    • Sense of ownership and commitment to complete the assigned projects/ tasks within deadlines and meeting high standard of quality.

Experience
    • Accounting professional with preferably 5-8 years of experience in accounting and reporting, and capable of analyzing complex processes and issues (2nd or 3rd accounting job)
    • Degree in Finance or Accounting
    • Adequate expertise knowledge in financial accounting (IFRS, accounting processes)
    • Knowledge and understanding of Financial / ERP systems. SAP knowledge is must.
    • Understanding on the tax, VAT, tax declarations, statistical reporting to the tax authorities etc.
    • Understanding of Consolidation systems, preferably HFM
    • Problem solving with analytical skills
    • Result orientated with a focus on service delivery
    • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
    • Drive monthly closing and reporting processes for scope of work
    • Autonomous in organizing responsibilities and work
    • Ability to work under severe time pressure during month-end closures and continuously retain ‘an eye’ for the details
    • Adequate communication skills and full professional proficiency in English
