The intelligent and Process Automation team provides automation solutions using Robotic Process Automation and Natural Language Processing toolsets. A major focus for this role is the provision of development in RPA technology, using the UiPath, supporting the development of solutions for various business functions (e.g. Shared Services, Middle Office, Underwriting, Finance, and Actuarial).

The Application Developer in this position will be the key resource for design and development in the team. In this role, s/he will participate in all phases of the project cycle, including technical planning, SOP review, designing and building automation packages, and post-project maintenance. This role will also support existing automation.

An ideal candidate for this role is expected to have robust hands-on development experience in Robotic Process Automation using UiPath, release and change management, version control, and tool upgrades. They should additionally have a good knowledge of NLP/NLU technologies so that support can also be provided on those toolsets as the team advances further with that technology.

S/he will report to the Application Manager, Intelligent and Process Automation.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

• CODE: able to code across the RPA Uipath Technology stack.

• 
  Work collaboratively with developers on other teams, internal and external, onshore and offshore.

• 
  Estimate work requests at various levels of confidence.

• 
  Assist with technical analysis of solution design and prototype.

• 
  May assist in maintaining development standards for design, coding, etc.

• 
  Support resolution of defects during application testing phases.

• 
  May serve as a member of a Major Incident Team

• Implement and document change by an approved SDLC process and development standards including Development estimation.

• 
  Unit testing is conducted to make sure changes are of sufficient quality before system testing.

• 
  Providing product support, including technical oversight of problem determination, resolution, and root cause analysis as L3 support.

• 
  Support analysis and resolution of defects during application testing phases.

• 
  Proactively identify and communicate improvement opportunities.

You will report to the Application Delivery Manager.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Experience building technical solutions.

• 
  Hands-on design /development/delivery of RPA using UiPath.

• 
  Ability to do effective multi-tasking is required.

• 
  Experience working on onshore-offshore development teams.

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Desired Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to work self-directly with less supervision is required.

• 
  Able to organize myself and others including effective scheduling, prioritization, and time management skills, completing tasks to tight deadlines.
  

• Ability to build effective working relationships (Internally/Externally), establishing credibility amongst a wide and demanding client group.

• 
  Comfortable taking ownership and accountability for own work, identifying the need for action (using initiative) whilst working effectively within a team.

• 
  Excellent verbal/written communication skills are required.

Preferable Experience

• Re/Insurance industry experience.
