System Requirement Engineer (SYS.1 and SYS.2)

The Role:

We are seeking a System Requirement Engineer (SYS.1 and SYS.2) who will support GKN ePowertrain AWD/eDrive Product development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • To collaborate with the Customer/stakeholders, perform Requirement analysis,elicitation, definition, document and validate requirements on engineering projects, ensuring completeness, consistency,traceability in line with the Requirements Management Plan.
  • Review Requirements with Subject Matter Experts and Test Engineers
  • Create and maintain product specification documents for internal and customer approval.
  • Help project in generating various metrics related to Requirements Engineering
  • Participate in ASPICE audits (both internal and external)
  • Support Lead System Engineer on detailed planning and team coordination.
  • Ensure compliance to internal and external standards including functional safety.

Who you'll be:

To be successful in this position, you will have proven experience in Automotive domain and hands on experience in System Requirement Engineering who has worked on ASPICE SYS1 & SYS2 process areas

Specific Functional Capabilities, Knowledge and Skills Required

Essential Skills

  • 3 to 8 years of relevant experience in Automotive domain
  • Experience in System Requirements Engineering
  • Training and experience in applying methods for Requirement Management (Advanced, IREB certified)
  • Knowledge and experience on ASPICE SYS.1 & SYS.2 process
  • Good knowledge of automotive systems, Diagnostics, Cybersecurity is preferable
  • Review and understanding System Architecture
  • Hands on experience in Powertrain or Chassis domain is preferable
  • Fundamental knowledge of System architecture (UML / SYSUML)

Tool Skills

  • PTC Integrity or DOORS
  • Experience with Vector tools such as CANdela, vTestStudio, CANoe

Language Skills

Must be fluent in English
