AddressJob Purpose For Structural Engineer
You have to oversee projects and ensure that budget, timeline, and quality goals are met. The Structural Engineer will analyze project goals, design structural elements, make safety recommendations, and maintain a project database.
The core role and responsibilities are:
1. Able to work with proper supervision to complete technical tasks. This may include understanding, clarifying and developing briefs; site surveys, structural inspections, site assessment, undertaking and presenting written feasibility studies; using appropriate design standards, code of practices and guides to design/strengthen or assess bridges structures.
2. Should be able to read & understand the design & drawing of various types of bridge / other structures & related documents.
3. Make recommendations for materials to use and safety measures to take oversee project management, like tracking budgets and maintaining a database of projects and their progress.
4. Produce structural analysis calculations or inspection and assessment of quantity of various Items, rate Analysis, cost calculations and profit- loss calculations concept for bridge structures.
5. Record and monitor costs during the design and construction process and report on the budget position.
6. Provide site supervision during the construction phase of a project and effectively address any matters that arise.
7. Provide workplace mentoring and guidance to less experienced members of staff to ensure they are able to develop the necessary skills to deliver in their role.
8. Problem-solving skills to quickly address issues that arise on-site and keep projects on track.
9. Project management and coordination with administrative operations.
Qualifications
B.E./B.Tech In Civil Engineering in civil and/or Structural Engineering plus 5 years of construction in different types of Bridge.
Minimum Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech In Civil Engineering.
- 5-7 years of experience in construction in different types of Bridge Work.
- Proficiency in computer skills in MS office, word, excel, AutoCAD, power point and other daily use software.
- Experience of working independently within recognized structural design/assessment or construction standards, codes of practice, guidelines and council policy.
- Prior experience of working in high level RCC bridge construction project of at least 200m length is required
Salary: – Rs.30,000/- to 40,000/-(Per Month)
