Address Job Summary :
- Lead multiple projects/programs related to value analysis and value engineering (VAVE) through execution of these programs/projects in a timely manner, supporting the business goals and Profit Plan objectives
- Generate and execute VAVE Projects in collaboration with peers and lead engineers from Panelboards, Switchboard and power distribution Product line for the US Market.
- Independently handle the VAVE portfolio for panelboard and switchboard product line from India and collaborate with global team for execution & delivery
- Further, works closely with global teams for technical/functional deliverables on assigned activities & should contribute in product development & technology innovation to support VAVE deliverables
- Understands product requirements of Low Voltage power distribution products in terms of application, design considerations, working principals, complex system interactions and implement in projects that you work
- Key deliverables include ensuring timely delivery of projects, building the hopper, working on moving the projects to various phases to meet realization.
- Develop VAVE mindset within the team by providing training/Guide/ Mentor the team on VAVE concepts, tools etc.,
- Lead Idea generation events to build the division portfolio
- Develop/modify 3D models, drawing & BOM of Switchboard & panelboard and LV distribution componenent/assemblies to identify VAVE opportunities
- Performs project engineering work from design to implementation; communicates expectations, plans, and requirements and also coordinates all work within the scope of assigned projects
- Review reliability predictions, and Design Failure Modes and Effects analysis (FMEA) and structural/thermal/CFD results. Select engineering techniques to solve problems and make design recommendations
- Develop VAVE artefacts like HOQ, PDSC, Pugh/Trad-off matrix, Boundary dig, P-Dig etc
- Develop presentations/proposals to present it to global stake owners and to get necessary approvals for VAVE projects
- Maintain project schedule and update details in GPS tool for global review
- Support value engineering and cost out, competitive benchmarking, teardown, should costing exercises
- Collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams at global level spread across multiple locations.
- Able to identify an issue, propose a solution and review with necessary engineering team (COE, R&D, Quality, etc.) for final approval.
- Able to convert verbal explanation into an Engineering Drawing/proposal
- Responsible for conducting tests by ensuring deployment of standard practices. Assesses test results, root cause analysis through test findings/failures and takes corrective/preventive actions
Qualifications:
- BE Mechanical/Electrical
- 8-11 Years of working experience in electromechanical products (Low Voltage Assemblies and distribution product), and should have handled VAVE portfolio for last 3 years.
Skills:
Required Qualification:
- Proficiency in VAVE methodologies & Tools
- Experience in PLM software like Enovia/SAP/Windchill
- Experience in 3D modelling, detailing and drafting experience on 3D CAD tool. (Preferred Autodesk Inventor)
- Knowledge on Bill of material structures
- Experience in GPS to manage Project scope & schedule
- Knowledge in sheetmetal & busbar material selection and production process
- Knowledge on Should Costing, cost analysis & evaluation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience and working knowledge of Project Management methodology
- Experience with power distribution assemblies
- Technical experience with Low Voltage Power Distribution Products
- Knowledge working with Standards
- Ability to interpret data from multiple sources to determine final requirements
