Address Job Summary:
- Mechanical domain and should be well conversant with the functional and application aspects.
- The applicant should capture internal customers' requirements, exhibit excellent project management skills, presentation skills, strive to achieve desired output in a fast-paced environment.
- BE/Btech/ME/Mtech Mechanical engineering with 7 to 10 years' experience in Mechanical/Electromechanical Product design
- Should have led and worked on the costout projects for VAVE, Raw material selection for cost effective solutions, Parts/assemblies supplier VAVE and resourcing.
- Strong expertise in Product Teardown analysis, Design Benchmarking, Competitor Benchmarking to generate qualitative ideas for cost savings opportutnities and should be able to do the technical feasibiities while collaborating the Engineering and SCM functions.
- Experience in BOM costing and able to do the cost analysis at the components level by studying the BOM composition.
- Detailed understanding of the NPD/NPI methodologies and the design phases of the product life cycle and the deliverables at each stage of the design
- Knowledge on the global design standards like IEC,UL,CSA, NEMA or any other compliance standard.
- Modify existing product designs to support customer, manufacturing, applicable regulatory and industry standard, and market requirement.
- Experience in PLM system is required to get drawings and cost data ( Enovia / SAP preferred) and analyse them to generate cost effective ideas.
- Should have a strong relationship building capabilities within and outside the team, and collaborate to achieve better outcomes for Cost savings opportunities.
Qualifications:
- BE/Btech/ME/Mtech in Mechanical Engineering
- 7 to 10 years experience in industry, preferably for Electromechanical products, NPD/NPI
