Title and Summary

Software Test Engineer-31. Overview
We are seeking a talented Software Test Engineer with 5+ years of experience in test automation of real-world enterprise web applications and who can implement an effective test strategy and validate application functionality using QA methodologies and standards based on best practices in Software Testing.
2. Role
Play a pivotal role in agile teams in the development of automation test suites of web applications, APIs, and end to end testing of the software products.
Develop Test Automation code for API and UI tests, and monitor day-to-day test executions
Prepare comprehensive test scenarios, review test cases.
Perform functional testing in various test cycles functional, regression, sanity, UAT.
Generate test data for defined test cases, recognize test environment preparation needs, and execute existing test plans and report results 
Update existing test plans and automated test scenarios to reflect new requirements 
Participate in project-level reviews, walkthroughs and inspections, and conduct test reviews, including test plans, requirements, cases and automation coverage 
Participate in requirements review, story elaborations and testing activities 
Work closely with developers to identify code defects or regressions 
Perform Exploratory testing as required 
Share experience and insight by suggesting process improvements
Perform demos of new product functionality to stakeholders
3. About you
Strong skills in Automated testing of web based software applications and API testing.
Experience in performing QA tasks viz. test planning, functional testing, debugging, defect reporting.
Hands on experience in Java, Selenium, Testng, GitLab.
Experience in different testing strategies; functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, black box testing, Automation, UAT
Ensures team adherence to Quality Assurance policies, procedures and processes
Good knowledge and ability to work with Postman, Cucumber BDD, Gherkin, Maven, TestNG.
Knowledge of tracking tools: JIRA, Zephyr and Confluence is a must.
Must Have an experience on Selenium or any open source tool.
Identifying Root Cause Analysis and Tracking the same.
Good at problem-solving and interpersonal communication.
Must have a desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product quality and reliability
3. Preference:
Sound knowledge of Test Automation toolstack viz. Java, TestNG, Cucumber, RestAssured Gitlab, Maven. Experience of testing Web and Mobile based applications and REST API endpoints,.
