Our Digital Team partners with business units and clients to develop software and technical innovation. As a Software Engineering Specialist, you'll take ownership of the development process, ensuring the continuous improvement of code. You will collaborate with Product Owners and Domain Experts to create features for our applications. You will engineer and develop versatile products and services for the energy industry.As a Software Engineer (Full Stack), you will be responsible for:
- Acting as a member of the Software Centre of Excellence managing high quality design and development practices
- Developing high performing, scaling and innovative end-to-end web applications
- Collaborating with system engineers, frontend developers and software developers to implement solutions that are aligned with.
- Applying principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Documentation Practices and Testing Techniques
- Writing codes that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor's in Computer Science or STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
- Have At least 2 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Java 8, Spring Boot and Angular
- Be proficient in RESTful API development and integration.
- Have strong understanding of both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Have experience with version control using Git.
- Be Familiar with Linux operating systems.
- Have solid understanding and experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD), and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
- Have excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Have strong communication and collaboration skills..
