Process Overview
Wholesale Risk Analytics (WRA) provides decision support services to enable our banking and markets, wealth management, capital management and credit risk business partners to manage risk well. To accomplish this, we build, develop and maintain models for risk and loss measurement. Additionally, we produce and administer forecasts supporting allowance and stress-testing both domestically (US) and internationally. Job Description
Manage model execution, results analysis and reporting related to Wholesale Risk models. The Analyst will also work with the implementation team to ensure that this critical function is well controlled.
Responsibilities
- Manage model execution, results analysis and reporting related to Wholesale Risk models. The Analyst will also work with the implementation team to ensure that this critical function is well controlled.
- Write complex SQL queries to validate production results, integrate results with existing downstream applications and produce reports in format expected by end users.
- Identify, analyze, monitor, and present risk factors and metrics to, and integrate with, business partners.
- Proactively solve challenges with process design deficiencies, implementation and remediation efforts
- Assist Wholesale Operations with SOX implementation,
- Perform operational controls, ensuring consistency and compliance across all functions, including procedures, critical use spreadsheets and tool inventory
- Assist with enhancing overall governance environment within the Operations space
- Partner with the IT team to perform system related design assessments, control effectiveness testing, issue resolution monitoring and supporting the sign-off by management of processes and controls in scope
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external partners
- Write Python and/or PySpark code to automate production processes of several risk and loss measurement statistical models. Example of model execution production processes are error attribution, scenario shock, sensitivity, result publication and reporting.
- Work closely with application users, model developers, technology and other business partners to understand and document requirements of production processes to be implemented.
- Work with model implementation experts and technology teams to design and integrate Python workflows into existing in-house generic platform for process execution
- Ensure that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements.
Requirements
Education
B.E. / B. Tech/M.E. /M. Tech, Bachelor's degree in statistics, operations research, economics, finance, physics or mathematics
Certifications, If Any: NA
Experience Range: 4-7 Years
